“While a painting, even one that meets photographic standards of resemblance, is never more than the stating of an interpretation, a photograph is never less than the registering of an emanation (light waves reflected by objects)— a material vestige of its subject in a way that no painting can be.”
-‘The Image World’, Susan Sontag, 1977
To photograph people on one of their most significant days of their lives is preserving the memory of that day. Light is captured in my camera and everything that was present in those fleeting moments is made tangible.
I am seeking to photograph people in love who are serious about the significance of photographs.
Here are some of my favorites from recent weddings:
The stars above Allie & Josh’s wedding night. They eloped in Joshua Tree, CA.
Savvanah & Dmytryk’s wedding at Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden.
Agnes & Dan, Sunset Cliffs Inn, San Diego, CA.
Jasmine & Levi under the desert sun. Elopement in Morongo Valley, CA.
Sareen & Artin at Middle Ranch, CA.
Ashlee & Kenny at MORADA, Joshua Tree, CA.
