Federal agents have taken people from the streets and their workplaces following the Trump administration’s racist rhetoric. On June 6, 2025, dozens of people were snatched from various parts of Los Angeles, prompting community members to show up and defend each other. As protestors temporarily stopped agents from taking people, police forces used chemical and kinetic weapons that have injured protestors in effort to stop the uprising. Tear gas, pepper balls, and rubber-coated steel bullets are still being used today by federal and local police forces, in a joint effort to further Trump’s deportation agenda.
Key to Trump’s agenda is the trampling of due process rights: rights that give people, whether documented or undocumented, a fair chance in court.
